RoHS Directive (2002/95/EC)
The Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS) Directive has been passed into law by the European Union (EC). The Directive affects manufacturers of electrical and electronic equipment containing lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE). The Directive places strict limits on the use of these materials in products sold in the EC after July 1st, 2006.
All products shipped from the European distribution centers are compliant with the European RoHS Directive as of July 1, 2006.
